What makes something naughty or nice?

Dear Santa,

I believe that I have been cursed today. I do not believe in you since you are not someone that exists. Therefore, the point of this letter becomes pointless. Something that occurs with many of these curses.

Since you do not exist, there is no point in asking you to read this later.

I have heard a lot about Thanksgiving since October. Now it seems there is another one.

What is the significance of this holiday?

I think that I am haunted.

[A pause.]

There are thirteen people following me that are not meant to be here. They are also dead.

[He would know.]

[Kazuo stares blankly at the screen before looking out at the people that are there.]

All of the people are back.

[He tilts his head.]

Do not get in the way.

[Kazuo appears in all his black and white glory. Somehow, the coloring suits him.]

The color is gone.

[Yes. That's all he had to say.]

[Kazuo can be seen sitting on one of the horses at the carousel. If he's cold he doesn't show it. Instead he sits there perfectly still staring out at the snow. He doesn't seem bothered by the storm at all.]

It makes things clean.

[He tilts his head a little.]

Do people like snow?

[Kazuo looks out and tilts his head a little. It's like a failed mimic of curiosity.]

All the people are back.

[He pauses a moment or so.] Are any of them staying this time?

[Kazuo is moving through his apartment gathering what looks like cat supplies. Why he has all these things for a cat and no cat seems to be a mystery buuuuuut...]

I do not need these.

[He looks at the screen.]

I will give them to someone wanting them.

[Kazuo turns on his device and looks at the screen with his head tilted to the side. Then he slowly turns to look at something off-screen with the same blank stare.]

They can die.

[He doesn't say who "they" are though. He just...leaves it at that.]
